APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIPS BEING ACCEPTED

We need YOU to spread the word about this site, and about the Association.  The Executive is excited about the upcoming reunion, and it is vital that we make contact with as many of the "Old Crew" as possible.  Records are sketchy at best, but a collaborative effort between individual members reaching out to old friends, along with the Membership committee will help us find as many 2912er's as possible.  Make calls!  Hunt friends down.  Let's make the 35th the BIGGEST reunion ever!

WHAT WE'RE UP TO...

• We're looking for projects to bring Alumni together, in support of the kids parading now, and the kids we can bring in.  Your suggestions are always welcome.
   

• We're in the process of setting up a Kit Shop, to sell unit swag, bush / survival gear, and other goodies to both Alumni, current cadets and the general public.  Supporting the kit shop equals financial assistance for the Corps.
   

• REUNION! REUNION! REUNION!  Please help support the cause by sending out letters to businesses and friends for silent auction items.  Remember: the Reunion is planned for the last week of May, 2008 - start making plans to come!

I'm sure many of us would agree that some of our fondest memories growing up in Sudbury included the time we spent down "on the range" at 333 Riverside.  We worked, trained, partied and made the most of what we had together.  We were extended family, and in many cases developed lasting friendships that hold truer and more steadfast than many people could even fathom.

AN ALUMNI ASSOCIATION allows us to maintain those friendships.  More importantly, it allows us to give back to a system that gave us so much.

I KNOW HOW BUSY WE ALL ARE!!!  Some people will not be able to commit as much time as they would like.  However, as 2008 marks the Corps' 35th Anniversary, a reunion is in the works.  Help is needed - even if it's only a little bit from many people! 

LET'S NOT GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN FOR THE 40th!  By maintaining this organization in between reunions, we make it easier to plan, coordinate and communicate news and information.

• New application form for membership in association.  Help us to find others and SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT!!
   
• EXECUTIVE MEETING on Wednesday, 20th Feb 08 - Plan to attend!
   
• Working Group on the development of an ALUMNI KIT SHOP for members, past and present.
   
• Initiating Meeting held on January 9th.  View Minutes.

• Our Constitution was approved in principle.
   
• An Acting Executive was elected.
   
• A Temporary Schedule of events for the Reunion was determined.
   
• Memberships are being accepted. 
   
• VOLUNTEER to be on the Events Committee
   

Your membership will allow you voting privileges at General Meetings (Our first will be on Friday,  May 30th, 2008 - during the Reunion Festivities) as well as the Alumni Association e-newsletters and other updates.
